Two football clubs from east Trinidad were the recipients of donations from Councillor for Toco/Fishing Pond, Terry Rondon, recently as he seeks to make an impact in the lives of young people in the area.

Rondon distributed football jerseys to rising football clubs Cumana All- Stars and Take That and Cool It.

At the Sangre Grande Regional Corporation, Rondon met with Take That and Cool It’s Sherwin Joseph where he handed over the jerseys.

Take That and Cool It are currently competing in the Caribbean Welders Fishing Pond Football League where they sit around mid-table. Meanwhile, Cumana All-Stars’ Kevin Robinson received the jerseys on behalf of the club. Rondon expressed elation to be able to assist the two clubs and is actively following their results in their respective leagues.

The Councillor noted that clubs need the support to be able to function properly and keep their members occupied consistently while doing something positive. Rondon had previously donated a $500 cash prize and trophy for the Most Disciplined team in the Fishing Pond League and is hoping Take That and Cool It will show exemplary behaviour.
