Fifteen athletes have been chosen by the Amateur Swimming Association of Trinidad and Tobago (ASATT) to represent the country at the CCCAN Open Water Championships on the 24th and 26th June at Turtle Beach Tobago.

The team is managed by Peter Bynoe with Hazel Haynes being the Head Coach. The open water competition consists of a 10k race on the 24th, with the 5k race on the 26th. For the first time a 3k race has been added to the Open Water Championships to cater for the 13 and under athletes. Among the athletes is Chisara Santana (pictured above) who just missed out on CARIFTA metal as she was 4th in girls 16-18 5k in Bahamas.

This is the first time the CCCAN Championships are being held in Trinidad and Tobago, and these are the 30th edition of these games. The swimming, synchronized swimming, water polo and diving segments of the competition take place from June 22nd to July 2nd at the National Aquatic Centre.
