Two major players have teamed up to create a new and exciting Multi-Sport Series.

Derrick Simon from +one a week Multi-Sport and past Vice President/ Technical Director of the Trinidad and Tobago Triathlon Federation (TTTF) Andreas Stüven, have united to create a 5 event Multi-Sport Series for the full range of athletes that wish to conquer the sport of Triathlon.

Andreas, who manages Evolution Timing and Event Management Ltd., has vast experience in the managing of Multi-Sport events, it was the main part of his portfolio as VP of the TTTF, and he was also the ‘brainchild’ behind the Federation’s School Series.

The Series will comprise of two Duathlons on the Diego Martin Highway when it is closed for the ‘Keep Fit Program’ on Sunday mornings, two Aquathlons at the Las Cuevas Beach and a Triathlon at a location that they are both tight-lipped about. Andreas would only state, “We are looking at different venues, with the main feature of having a super-fast course that would allow drafting for a thrillingly memorable race.”

The Series will have an overall Prize Purse of close to TTD $60,000.00, with the winner of each gender in the Series receiving TTD $8,000.00.

Each race also has prize money for the Top Five Finishers in each gender. There are two races in each event: A Sprint Distance race for athletes 16 and over, and a Super Sprint Distance race for athletes 12 – 15.

Sponsors have already committed to this exciting venture with Petroleum Sales and Services, SignWave and A.S. Brydens procuring Bronze Status and G4S along with Pluming Solutions signed on as preferred Suppliers. Blue Waters as proud supporter for Multisport in T&T is of course also there hydrating the Athletes.

The first Duathlon will take place on July 2nd at 6:15 am on the Diego Martin Highway, with the second Race, an Aquathlon following on August 6th at 7:00 am in Las Cuevas.

The other races are carded for October 2017 and January 2018 with the Triathlon and Grand Finale Prize giving to be held on February 25th, the second Sunday after Carnival.

Registration is already open for the first Race at www.evolutiontiming.net and information can be obtained from Andreas or Derrick or via email at multisportseries@evolutiontiming.net
