School Girls Rugby is where the action is this Wednesday February 22nd with an exciting slate of matches taking us through week 4 of the 2017 League competition at the Queen’s Park Savannah.

Bishop Anstey’s B team so far looks like the place setters and chalked up their third consecutive win, turning back Providence Girls Catholic School in last Wednesday’s feature match which maintained their perfect record this season.

This top of the table clash, was decided by Arissa Romany’s try and successful conversion for the extra 2 points, seeing Bishops B to a 7-0 win.

It moved them 2 points clear in the standings with 12 points from 3 matches and with a match in hand but Providence is still in the race with 10 points. So too are the ladies of St James Secondary and Bishop Anstey A, both on 9 points.

St James had a bye in this round which allowed Bishop’s A to gain some ground by way of a 10-5 win over Bishop Centenary College who are now 5th on the table.

Wednesday’s third and final fixture was an in-school derby where Holy Name Convent A shut out Holy Name Convent B by a 10-0 final score line.
