CWI appreciates the Media’s desire to provide their readers, listeners and viewers with the best possible coverage of matches under its auspices.

A number of guidelines have however, been established for the issue of media credentials and they will be provided in the essential media information leaflet to be distributed to holders of media credentials prior to the start of the Series.

GENERAL MEDIA ACCESS

The media credentialling system, like any other, is designed to provide credentialled personnel with a controlled environment in which they can work as efficiently and as effectively as possible.

Accreditation is the method of providing access to match venues for all working media personnel.

THE MEDIA CREDENTIALS WILL EXPIRE ON DECEMBER 31, 2019. It will grant you access to all CWI matches and ancillary events during this period, except the Caribbean Premier League, whose organizers issue separate media credentials for that tournament only.

NON-RIGHTS HOLDING MEDIA CREDENTIALS ISSUED PRIOR TO 2018 ARE NOW INVALID, SO ALL PREVIOUS HOLDERS OF A CWI MEDIA CREDENTIAL IN THE CARIBBEAN AND INTERNATIONALLY MUST RE-APPLY.

A successful application for media credentials does not guarantee a work station for each credentialled non-rights holding media person in the Venue Media Centre.

Non-rights holding TV and radio applicants should note that the CWI will not be issuing media credentials for technical staff unless it is absolutely necessary.

Please note, a media priority order may be established if demand for seats in any Venue Media Centre outweighs capacity. This order, similar to the list used at most international cricket events, will be established by the CWI which will have sole control over the process.

No more than five staffers (including photographers) will be issued NRH media credentials for each media company.

Non-rights holding media credentials allow access to Zones 1, 2 and 3 at each venue. This permits the holder general access to:

  1. the match venue,
  2. the stands and concession areas, and
  3. the venue media centre.

In addition to general media access, photographers have been granted Zone 4 access. This permits the holder boundary-side access only to the field of play.

As part of the application process, you will need to email the following:

  1. A completed application form (see attachment);

Late applications will not be acknowledged.
