The meeting’s primary purpose was establishing conversation surrounding regularization of operations within the East Zone. After much dialogue, the assembly passed a motion to host another meeting on Tuesday 11th December 2018.

High on the agenda for the 7:00pm meeting at the Maloney Indoor Sport Arena, will be the elections of officers to the Zonal Commission Executive Committee.  The Zone remains pressed to organize its administrative affairs ahead of the National Basketball Federation of Trinidad and Tobago’s (NBFTT) AGM/ Election of Officers, scheduled for Saturday December 15th, 2018.

The East Zone comprises teams/individuals whose registered address falls within the boundaries of the St. Joseph River in the west to Valencia Junction in the East, bounded on the North by the Caribbean Sea and South by the Caroni River. As efforts continue towards reviving basketball in the East, all existing members and interested parties within the Zone are invited to attend the meeting.

In keeping with the advancement of the sport in the Zone, persons interested in becoming members are asked to arrive on time as there will be registration of all new parties and a renewal of membership for all previous members before the meeting commences. It is advised that organizations/individuals are responsible for paying $20.00 per Club and $20.00 per person for their five (5) voting members.
