Trinidad & Tobago golfers are out to defend the Seniors Championship that they won in 2016 in Jamaica. This year both the Championship and the Classic will be played in Punta Cana at the golf courses at the Paradisus Palma Real Golf & Spa Resort in the Dominican Republic.

This is the second year of these championships and Trinidad & Tobago who won the inaugural event last year by their strength in depth hope to once again use this strength to come away victorious. The teams are Mid Amateurs (those 35 plus years of age) Richard “Pecos” Camacho and Clint Alfred, the Seniors (50 plus) are Reynold Deonath and newcomer to the Seniors Deryck Gonsalves, the Super Seniors (60 plus)men are Fabien Lee Foon (a member of the team who won the Higgs & Higgs trophy in 2016) and longtime campaigner Monty Chapman. The ladies plus 50 team are very strong this year with both Pauline Figuera- Raynor and her partner Amoy Chang Fong in good form.

All of the teams play the Better Ball gross format (e.g. the best score from the partners counting on each hole). The tournament starts on Thursday 4th May and runs through Saturday 6th May.
